The staff here are incredibly knowledgeable about wine and spirits. They have great prices, offer delivery, and occasionally host wine tastings. Javi is one of the main reasons I enjoy shopping there. He’s always ready to help and does it with a smile. They also keep treats on hand for dogs, which is perfect if you’re like me and take your dog everywhere.

The owner is such a nice guy — his friendly vibe makes you feel right at home. It’s such a cozy spot, perfect for a laid-back meal. And the food? Wow! Every dish is bursting with amazing flavors that make it hard to resist going back. Seriously, if you haven’t tried it yet, you’re missing out!

Joe Allen has been my pre-theater or after-show drink go to for my whole life. It’s reliable, stress free and changes little. It celebrates flops and it just turned 60 (like me). I ate there before I saw A Chorus Line for the first (of eight) times. Original cast.

Delicious Pakistani cuisine that eases the ache of missing my mother’s cooking in Virginia. Their seekh kebabs and fresh, piping-hot naan from the tandoor oven are like a small homecoming that satisfy the need until I can make it back down to my family in Virginia.

Restaurant Row is one of those streets where you can find every cuisine imaginable, along with some great hidden gems. I especially love it at night, when the whole area comes alive with energy and so many delicious options to choose from!

My favorite outdoor spot in NYC. Pier 84 is where I go for the local vibe, the adorable dogs with lots of personality, and the sunset that lights up the sky in gorgeous hues on a clear day.

My go-to spot for delicious and healthy Greek food in the neighborhood. I love their fresh Greek salad, generous gyro platter, pillowy pita bread, spanakopita and various Greek desserts.

While I would never recommend anyone RSVP here, given the ridiculous fee if you cannot hold the reservation or cancel 24 hours before, I have often come to enjoy the view. It is a great date night location since you can get small plates, making it easy to finish up and leave if the vibe is off without being stuck through a big meal.
