Mama Mia 44SW
This place is like eating a home-cooked meal every time. The food is authentic Italian cooking at its finest. For more than 50 years, this wonderful family has been feeding our community. The people who work there are fantastic, the location is convenient, and the food is both affordable and delicious. If you’re in the area, stop in and enjoy a meal.

Gossip
Good food and a nice cozy atmosphere to meet up with friends.
Barbara Moresco
Barking Dog
I always recommend this restaurant to friends and family before a show. It’s a fabulous restaurant, with a great staff and a super nice owner. They often keep the kitchen open late for Natalie and me, so it’s our go-to spot.

Fountain House Gallery
Fountain House Gallery always has interesting programming. Around the holidays they do a show of artworks for under $100. I always buy a gift for someone and love that they support and nurture otherwise underserved artists.

Gallaghers Steakhouse
This is probably my favorite steakhouse in the world, largely because of its incredible atmosphere. It embodies everything I imagine a classic New York steakhouse to be.

Industry Bar
This location routinely hosts the Imperial Court, which is an amazing group that has adopted and supported me during the campaign. I have gotten to know the members of this club, and one of their longtime hosts, Summer, routinely picks Industry Bar — given their support of the LGBTQ community and amazing space for drag performances.

The Sheffield
When I walk back from Westerly Health food, I know if my bags are heavy, I can stop in the little open plaza by The Sheffield and take a break. Or have my soup, or make a call. I love the statue, I call her "Nippertiti" (a take off of Nefertiti), except she looks like she's had a nip and tuck, LOL! I adore the greenery and all the wonderful dogs and the openness of the space. I get to connect with nature, people watch, and I’m so grateful for all public spaces in NYC — they ground us.

Senza Gluten by Jemiko
A simple yet sophisticated intimate setting with the most delicious homemade Italian food — and everything is actually gluten free. My hubby and I save this spot for special occasions.
Olivia Bowman-Jackson
Cubby's
A great, easy neighborhood spot for burgers, hot dogs and fries. The staff is always friendly, and having board games at the tables while you wait makes it a fun place to hang out.

ChaShaMa Lobby Gallery
This is a truly unique arts space created by ChaShaMa and its founder, Anita Durst. They provide artists with opportunities throughout the city by partnering with property owners who have vacant storefronts and unused spaces. Instead of letting those spaces sit empty, they give them new life by offering artists and small businesses a chance to transform them into galleries, studios, and creative spaces of their own. It’s a brilliant idea that supports both artists and neighborhoods.
