International Grocery
This store is a throwback to the old 9th Avenue, a savory snapshot from years gone by. I love their Greek specialties — stuffed grape leaves, taramasalata, bean salads, feta cheese. It's where I buy my nuts, olives, spices, coffee and olive oil. And the guys who work there are the best.

Erik's Barber Shop
I like going to Erik’s Barber Shop. He always gives me a good cut. I’ve got to go again soon.

Broad Nosh Bagels 9th Ave
Broad Nosh may be my newest obsession. A classic NY staple is a NY bagel (& no, not all bagels taste the same) As someone who has tried every bagel place in NYC, this is my top choice for an authentic NY bagel. They just opened a new location on 9th Ave and W43rd St which is closer to me than their other location near Columbus Circle.

Poseidon Bakery
The best Greek pastry shop! It’s been around since 1923 with Lili Fable (3rd generation) and her son Paul (4th generation) at the helm. A tempting assortment of handmade delicious pleasures to treat yourself and friends with. Plus they have a frozen section.

LumLum
The place is new and their menu is different from the other Thai spots in the neighborhood. The vibe inside is fun and creative, and the food is great, really flavorful. I always bring friends from out of town here. Definitely recommend.

Mercedes Club
MC is my second home. Tonya Jacobs is a fantastic manager, Paulie Scalia is an EXCELLENT trainer, and Michael “Gucci” Sherman is the best de facto “Mayor of Mercedes” anyone could ask for. I can spend 10 hours at MC and not even recognize that time has passed. It’s my office, my gym, my community and my playground. It’s HK’s not-so-secret hidden gem

Stony Hill Farm's Market (Hell's Kitchen Farmers' Market)
Pickles. Half sours. Enough said.

Birdland Jazz Club
It’s so great we have a world-class Jazz Club in Hell’s Kitchen! So many fabulous musicians swingin' at Birdland, where anywhere you sit is a great seat. The acoustics, food and drinks are all tops. I’ve been enthralled by musicians there so many times and come out singing. Susie Mosher’s shows are a hoot.

Oslo Coffee
A true neighborhood gem for iced lattes. After living in this area for 11 years, I can confidently say that Oslo surpasses all other coffee places! Makes me happy to know this.

Fine and Dandy Archives
Walking into Fine and Dandy Archives is like walking into Enrique’s personal closet, and in some ways, that’s exactly what it is. Everything is thoughtfully sourced from all over the world, each piece has its own back story and Enrique combines pieces together in really creative ways. I love the artistry and style.
