Il Melograno
My favorite restaurant in Hell’s Kitchen, Il Melograno. I have so many great memories eating here, especially with my partner of 10 years, James. We especially love their outdoor seating, especially on a warm summer night. It reminds me of the magic of New York, and the vibrant community of Hell’s Kitchen. I always come back for the pappardelle and the cannolis.
Carl Wilson
Fountain House Gallery
Fountain House Gallery always has interesting programming. Around the holidays they do a show of artworks for under $100. I always buy a gift for someone and love that they support and nurture otherwise underserved artists.
Edward Love
Best Barber
Brendan is my go-to for a haircut in the neighborhood. He takes his time, pays attention to the details and always gets it right. Plus, the atmosphere is always good with great music playing and a beverage waiting for you.
Steven Ioannou
Cubby's
A great, easy neighborhood spot for burgers, hot dogs and fries. The staff is always friendly, and having board games at the tables while you wait makes it a fun place to hang out.

PS Kitchen
The most quietly radical restaurant in the neighborhood. Fully plant-based and donates 100% of its profits to charitable partners addressing food insecurity, restorative justice, and community wellbeing. As someone who does not eat dairy or pork, I appreciate a place where every dish is thoughtful and abundant, and I can eat anything on the menu. The bar seat is my preferred spot for a full meal on my own.

Joe Allen
Perfect place to grab a drink and dinner before going to catch a show.
George Conway
Pio Pio
Their Ceviche Limeño with diced corvina, lime juice, red onions, cilantro and rocoto pepper is not to be missed — every visit feels like a quick, fun trip to Peru.

Toloache
Even though it’s usually bustling with tourists and Broadway patrons, Jorge and Gustavo, the managers, always welcome us with a hug and make us feel like family. We’ve celebrated many special occasions here, and even our Mexican friends have approved the authentic flavors. From melt-in-your-mouth tacos to delicious espresso martinis, everything is flavorful and made to perfection.
Rachel Lee
White Noise Coffee
A coffee shop owned by a Korean-American woman (Vanessa), who researches everything from coffee beans to matcha leaves on the ground in Asia to produce the best-quality coffee and tea in our neighborhood. The owner also started a run club and supports local athletes and sports events. With plenty of seating, it’s a great place to get some work done.

New Dramatists
The New Dramatists has a striking Gothic aesthetic that has always captivated me. Long ago, the building served as a church, and that history can still be felt throughout its halls and architecture. Before the pandemic, it was a vibrant gathering place filled with activity and community.
