This is my gym! So many friendly members, my trainer Mike Hickman, who stuck with me through the ups and downs of cancer treatments and prepared me for two natural bodybuilding competitions — the one right after my diagnosis (June 2024) and the one last month. I also enjoy dance classes here, including street jazz, hard knocks and zumba.

West Bank Cafe
An iconic establishment in Hell’s Kitchen, the West Bank Cafe has been the home to Broadway stars, fans and West Siders alike. I have seen countless incredible shows at the Laurie Beechman Theatre, and many fulfilling meals with friends and family at their restaurant — don’t even get me started on their Risotto Balls! Tom and Michael are great owners and friends.

Homemade Taqueria Midtown
Homemade Taqueria has been my lunch go-to for the past five Saturdays in a row. Sometimes twice a day. The food is amazing — taco al pastor and aqua fresca watermelon. The background music is hip. The staff are super sweet. And the vibe is both modern and old school. I am already a regular — and plan to continue!

Gershwin Theatre
The arts are the lifeblood of NY-12 and Hell’s Kitchen is home to so many incredible theaters, museums, dance studios, the list goes on. But, if I’m seeing a show, Gershwin Theatre is one of my favorite places to go.

Joe Allen
Joe Allen has been my pre-theater or after-show drink go to for my whole life. It’s reliable, stress free and changes little. It celebrates flops and it just turned 60 (like me). I ate there before I saw A Chorus Line for the first (of eight) times. Original cast.

Claudio's Pizza
This pizzeria is anything but ordinary. Claudio’s and its staff feel like family to me. They know exactly how I like my Sicilians and have catered many pizza parties for us over the years. They’ve gone above and beyond for us time and time again, which is why I’ll always be grateful for their friendship and support.
Lu Berisha
DeWitt Clinton Park
I’ve spent many sunny mornings cheering on my son Ben from the sidelines of Dewitt Clinton Park as he played little league. This is a fleeting period in our life as a family and I know I will miss it enormously once it’s passed.
Micah Lasher
Esposito Meat Market
For over 100 years the women in my family came together to make a recipe which required suet (yes — raw beef fat). As the years passed, Esposito became one of the only places in the city to get it. Thankfully, we have moved on to the vegetarian version of the same dish!

It's Him
Living near It’s Him, I know it is a great place to catch up with friends over a drink, or for a nightcap after a long day. I recently held a campaign event here, and we filled the place! I’m so grateful to the workers for their incredible help that night, and it was a great place to build excitement for our growing campaign.

DeWitt Clinton Dog Run
As a rescue dog mom, any dog run is my happy place but I particularly like the one at DWC. I bring my dog Bailey here and in his younger years he could run for hours. Now 14, he just enjoys the canine company. It’s one of those places where you always end up chatting with neighbors and dog people are the best people. In a neighborhood like ours, I value having a space like this to just be outside and unplug.
