The Actors Temple Theatre
I’ve spent more time working at The Actors'Temple Theatre than I have in any other venue in the city. It feels like an artistic home base to me. I’ve performed in five different productions at the Temple since 2021, four with Vital Theatre Company. The house is intimate and beautiful, featuring stained glass. I love the photographs of famous entertainers that line the staircase just inside the main entrance. It’s amazing to feel both the history and spirituality present in the building every time I’m at work.

Schmackary's
One of my favorite dessert places in the neighborhood!. Their cookies are yummy. Dangerous, as I can only visit it sparingly!

Little Pie Company
Small businesses keep Hell’s Kitchen and our city great. The Little Pie Company boasts incredible pies, made from scratch with fantastic ingredients! What’s not to love?!
Jack Schlossberg
Mido's
Rain or shine, late night or early morning, this food truck has been a reliable affordable food option. With incredibly friendly habibis (Issam and Sa’id) and the three brothers (Saleh, Mo and Abdul) whose family have run business for generations, they serve what I think is some of the best halal food in NYC.

Spitfire Cheese & Sundry
As the new kid in Hell’s Kitchen, Spitfire has become an instant favorite. My parents owned a small cheese shop when I was growing up so places like this hold a special place in my heart, especially ones as homey and delicious as Spitfire. If you ever can’t reach me, this is probably where I am. A few recommendations: the tuna melt is amazing, the iced cardamom vanilla matcha latte is my new favorite and don’t miss the small basket of “walking cheese” at the checkout counter.

Lincoln Center
Everything about Lincoln Center brings joy to my heart. I have so many wonderful memories there. Amazing people work here, the programming is world-class, and there always seems to be something happening that brings the community together. Whether it’s a play, concert, or ballet, I’ve never left disappointed. And in loving memory of our dear friend Ann Dineen, we’ll always cherish our Lincoln Center memories.

Sea Breeze Fish Market
How lucky am I to have a fresh fish market a few blocks from my apartment? These markets have become almost extinct. I love walking in and they know exactly what I want and are so welcoming. There are some very good people working behind that counter.

Tannen's Magic
Tannen’s Magic Shop is so historic, dark, mysterious and everything you want a magic shop to be. You’ll regularly find me here browsing the huge bookshelf of magic books. I just can’t get enough!

The Drama Book Shop
I love theater and I love to write about theater, which is why this gem of a bookshop is one of my favorite places to sit and write or sometimes just plain read. Their book selection is fantastic but I’m also a big fan of their Broadway-themed lattes and Broadway-themed wifi passwords.
