The 52nd Street Project
If you’re lucky enough to catch a show here, you’re guaranteed a great time. The 52nd Street Project does so much for children and our community. The mentorship they provide—connecting kids with professional theater artists and helping them develop their creative voices—is truly remarkable. I would absolutely recommend seeing a performance there.

Pat is a good friend and we were thrilled when he opened a few doors down from us. He and his shop have brought a ton of energy to the block.

Amy's Bread
I am a bread lady and I cannot live without a good Amy’s baguette. I go to both the Hells’ Kitchen and Chelsea locations, but I love how intimate the Hell’s Kitchen location is. It’s a great place to meet friends in the neighborhood. It’s always lively.
Lindsey Boylan
Birdland Jazz Club
Of course, Birdland is a legendary venue, but we particularly enjoy Monday nights when our pal Jim Caruso hosts Cast Party. It’s the open mic night for the jazz/Broadway/cabaret communities. We’ve seen some legends perform (Liza Minnelli, Marilyn Maye, Faith Prince) followed by some kid right off the bus who you know is going to be a star. And then there are some truly bizarre performances. On a recent night there was a puppeteer who had a geriatric marionette on a stripper pole.

88 POCHA
The owner is such a nice guy — his friendly vibe makes you feel right at home. It’s such a cozy spot, perfect for a laid-back meal. And the food? Wow! Every dish is bursting with amazing flavors that make it hard to resist going back. Seriously, if you haven’t tried it yet, you’re missing out!

Schmackary's
One of my favorite dessert places in the neighborhood!. Their cookies are yummy. Dangerous, as I can only visit it sparingly!

It's Him
Living near It’s Him, I know it is a great place to catch up with friends over a drink, or for a nightcap after a long day. I recently held a campaign event here, and we filled the place! I’m so grateful to the workers for their incredible help that night, and it was a great place to build excitement for our growing campaign.

Irish Arts Center
I love Irish arts and literature, and it's incredible to have a globally significant center for Irish arts right here in the district. It’s also an amazing story of a small but mighty organization that was able to give life to an old historic Hell’s Kitchen building.

Joe Allen
Joe Allen has been my pre-theater or after-show drink go to for my whole life. It’s reliable, stress free and changes little. It celebrates flops and it just turned 60 (like me). I ate there before I saw A Chorus Line for the first (of eight) times. Original cast.

BUF Personal Training
Because I have a sweet tooth, working out is a necessity for me to stay in shape. My first personal trainer in New York City was Ben Unger who owns BUF (Ben Unger Fitness). I don’t really like going to the big, impersonal chain fitness places. BUF is smaller and more intimate, and the trainers there are so friendly.
