A hidden gem for a great massage. Tony and the other therapists here really know what they're doing. I've introduced quite a few friends over the years, and they've all come away impressed. No frills, just skilled hands to help relieve some of the stress and pain of our hardworking Hell’s Kitchen neighbors.

My husband Bobby runs this theater company, The Actor’s Gym, there every Thursday.

This Greek bakery serves the most delicious tiropita: a flaky cheese pie made with ricotta, cream cheese, feta and a touch of mint. One cheese pie with a bowl of olives is my perfect lunch. I love that the business is so old school, they use an honest-to-god cash register. Poseidon has been in its 9th Avenue location since 1950, although the business started in 1923 — a true Hell’s Kitchen institution.

A family go-to for taking friends or ordering for movie night.

I don’t find myself in bars too often (I’m such a morning person!), but Vers is definitely one of my more frequent nightlife haunts. I have many fond memories of grabbing drinks with friends here before seeing a Broadway show. I recently attended their monthly musical theatre trivia night and had a great time. I consider myself to be pretty knowledgeable and was very much challenged.

I am addicted to their Thai Iced Tea. It is unbelievably good, like no other I have ever had. It really tastes nothing like other Thai places I’ve gone to. And the staff is so friendly and sweet.

World Wide Plaza is another go-to, especially in the summer. It’s conveniently located to theatres and it’s a cute and nice spot to catch up with friends, eat lunch or people watch. I love people watching…but I do miss the days of Blockheads and Mother Burger. IYKYK.

Their Ceviche Limeño with diced corvina, lime juice, red onions, cilantro and rocoto pepper is not to be missed — every visit feels like a quick, fun trip to Peru.

The city is so dense it’s easy to forget we’re on an island. A walk to the Intrepid Museum and along the water is well worth it. And while in the area, it's good to visit the Landmark Tavern to connect back to the days of longshoremen and their delicious shepherd’s pie.
