Broadway's unofficial cookie headquarters has transformed the humble cookie into an art form with over 100 rotating flavors that range from classics like chocolate chip to adventures like maple bacon and key lime. Founded by former Broadway actor Zachary Schmahl, this Theatre District institution partners with current Broadway shows to create limited-edition themed cookies while hosting annual Broadway Bakes fundraisers where stars work behind the counter. Each perfectly crispy-outside, chewy-inside cookie represents generation Y's answer to the old American bake shop – familiar comfort with modern innovation.

One of my favorite dessert places in the neighborhood!. Their cookies are yummy. Dangerous, as I can only visit it sparingly!

I have a chronic sweet tooth, and this place is my guilty pleasure. I refer to them as the “Ben & Jerry’s of cookies”. I love their flavors, and I also love the Broadway-turned-baker backstory of their founder, Zachary Schmahl, which is very similar to another of my favorites in the neighborhood, The Little Pie Company. These businesses are so representative of what Hell’s Kitchen is all about — many people come here with a dream, and then they are forced to reinvent themselves to make it work! I am sort of in that same phase in my life right now with my tour company.

I remember when Schmackary's opened! (Anyone remember when that was Piece of Chicken?!) This place is a neighborhood icon, so it is a total delight to see them continue to grow. Their stint on Only Murders in the Building was incredible, and I will have a dream come true this January when they roll out a dedicated cookie inspired by The Hirschfeld Broadway Tarot!

If you are looking for a dessert this is the place you need to go to. An assortment of cookies and baked goods that everyone loves. I always get the cookies and cream or the funfetti. They switch up the cookies based on holidays or current Broadway shows in the area.

Schmackary’s is always run by humans with smiling faces, and I LOVE the tunnel of love they have kept up since PRIDE. Their cookies are amazing but — little known fact — their pastries are also to die for! Another insider tip — the black cold brew is the strongest coffee in Hell’s Kitchen in my humble opinion. Half a cup makes me feel like I could run through a brick wall, in the best of ways.

How do you say no to a gluten-free cookie that tastes like heaven? You just don’t. Thank goodness for me they have a basket of discount day-olds if you get there early enough. Nice reward after auditions and rehearsals too. And I ship maple bacon cookies to my sister out-of-town on holidays!

I like a good cookie and these are good cookies, simple as. Love the special styles with fruit in them like Strawberries and Cream, and the Dulce de Leche cookies.

You can smell it down the block and it’s heavenly. Everything there is delicious. The vegan, gluten-free cookies are the real deal.

Who doesn’t love cookies? So many delicious options. I also love how much they celebrate and assist the Broadway community.

If you like cookies or just need something sweet as a pick me up, you need to visit Schmackary’s. They have the best cookies in town! And the flavor options are endless! My favorites are the cornbread cookie, funfetti and chocolate chip cookie dough.

I’m diabetic so I can’t have them anymore but at least I get to smell them.

The Classic Chocolate Chip and Maple Bacon Cookies are my favorites! As soon as I walk in, I immediately smile. The smell, the taste…instant joy in my mouth! My sweet tooth is super satisfied here. HK staple!

How do you spell that? Help!: Three reasons (besides the cookies which are so stupid good that I avoid them or my jeans would be even tighter!) 1) Have you seen their adorable cookie tins??? Seriously, go look. 2) Their "Broadway Blend" coffee bags are a great "insider" gift. 3) When I walk home from work I am often in a crowd of audience members from my show who are heading there. They don’t know who I am and it is fun to hear them talk about the show as they walk to this “famous cookie place” that is on the same street. Sometimes I go in and buy people cookies just because.

COOKIES!!!! Schmackary's is my go to dessert place. There is something special about a fresh bakery cookie and Schmackary's definitely hits the mark. In my mind, there is nothing more Broadway than heading over to Schmackary's after a show. I’m looking forward to the buzz of the line filled with Playbill holding show-goers sharing out about the show they just attended.
