Scent Elate

This tiny, wonderful shop is packed floor to ceiling with high quality scented products from places like Tibet, Nepal and India. Great for yourself or as gifts. The owner, a sweet man named Mo, curates everything — oils, incense, candles, sage, jewelry, tarots, books and so much more. It’s just a bit off of 8th Avenue and set back from the sidewalk so don’t miss it!

I mean, this is the most magical little door in Hell’s Kitchen. The store has so many articles, wonderful crystals, bracelets, cards, soaps, incense, clothing, etc. All feel-good essentials. Moe is the nicest guy, so thoughtful and friendly, he’ll know exactly what crystal to suggest depending on what your energy needs and what’s going on in your life. The store is tiny but everything is so well arranged that you can spend a long time marveling on every artifact.

It's a tiny hole in the wall shop right across from my son's school on W48th Street between 8th and 9th. You can buy all kinds of crystals, incense, candles, oils, sage sticks, and other spiritual items. The sweet shop owner will ask if it's your first time in and if it is, he will have you close your eyes, choose a stone with a charm written on it and he will wrap it up and tell you not to look till you get home. It's my go-to for special gifts.
