Fantastic Cuban food! It’s one of the few places in Manhattan where you can get the real deal! The irony is that even though Sophie’s is on the corner, this is the place the real ones come to! I used to perform here regularly in my formative years. My friend Pedrito Martinez performs here from Tuesday to Saturday. Guantanamera definitely holds a special place in my heart. Those Mojitos are so deliciously dangerous too…

As a Cuban-American, I’ve noticed it’s hard to find great Cuban food in NYC. Guantanamera is the very best. The Ropa Vieja and Mojitos are just excellent. The Cuban music at night make it a great spot to celebrate a birthday or just enjoy a tasty bite in a fun atmosphere.
