Gotham West Market

Great food, a great spot for a casual group meetup and fun events, including a free monthly comedy show every third Thursday of the month.

Look, as I was skeptical as everyone else when they decided to put in basically a food court instead of a grocery store or something more useful on 11th Avenue, but Gotham West Market has become the de facto meeting space for the HK Cupboard organizers since there are a ton of choices for food or drink and you can sit with your laptops for as long as you need and get some work done. La Palapa has a really great happy hour until 8pm for wine and frozen margaritas, dell’anima has great cocktails and nibbles, and if you want something sweet, Petee’s has great pie. Moment of silence for Corner Slice, which had my favorite slice in the neighborhood.

Great low-key food hall! Love that you can get Corner Slice (best square pizza in the game) wagyu sandwiches and really good sushi under one roof. Spacious, well ventilated, totally wheelchair accessible and has heated outdoor seating to boot.

Many choices and lots of happy people

It's a great place when you have a little one, they are always family-friendly which is great for a new mom like I was. There are board games available on the tables lots of space for your toddler to roam around when they don't want to be stuck in the highchair. I spent many days there when my son was still in the stroller. Unfortunately, they have lost most of the really good spots that occupied their food court pre-pandemic. I'm hoping they are able to recover.
