Empanada Mama

When I crave empanadas and more, it’s my go-to place. Many flavors to choose from — The Viagra with tiger shrimp and crab meat is my favorite. They have plant-based empanadas too.  A happening, colorful place for tasty food that’s always fresh.

I am the classic night owl; inspiration comes to me at 4 AM…as do the munchies. Empanada Mama is open 24/7. Can’t tell you how many articles I’ve finished with the help of an empanada or two.

The food is great, but to be honest, the best part is that the place is open 24 hours all week

Best empanadas of the West. I remember when it was a matchbox next door. I love to pair their delicious empanadas with their red sangria. After they had a fire, they closed down for a long while. One night I had a dream that it was relocated to the lobby in my apartment building. It was so vivid. They’ve now added fun merch at their current, bigger, location.

Such a large variety of empanadas. There’s always an empanada for someone, even the picky eaters.

Everything I have had has been good. I enjoyed the liveliness of the place pre-COVID. During the pandemic, it's still been really great but just with fewer people — which I also like. The music there is just right for the spot!
