By far the best Indian food in Hell's Kitchen. I'm here at least once a week. When Covid first struck I thought I was gonna starve as I suck in the kitchen, and the place I missed most was Desi Deli. Everything there is delicious. When I have friends visit from outta town I always take them here. Words of advice: order from the buffet. You can do it vegetarian style or with meat. You get three options, with rice and one naan for only $15. Best deal and food in the Kitchen. The staff are all friendly too. If you haven't eaten here you are truly missing out.

We have many great Indian restaurants in the neighborhood so it's unfair to pick just one (notable mentions: Bombay Grill House and Badshah), but Desi Deli is significant because it's one of the last twenty-four-hour places left in the city. It's a favorite amongst cab drivers (incidentally, I first learned about it from a cab driver) where they can grab a quick meal; some even use it as a pickup place to swap cars if they share the same cab. Sometimes, if I'm peckish after a concert, the perfect late-night snack is a mango lassi and a heap of fresh, hot samosas from Desi Deli.
