"Forty-Four-and-Ten" features clever takes on classic American dishes like meatloaf, mac-and-cheese, and (shades of my youth) wedges of iceberg lettuce with blue cheese dressing. There are modern, innovative dishes too. We like taking out-of-town visitors to 44&X because there's always something for everyone on the menu.

It’s a consistently wonderful place to dine, lively without being too noisy, and they’ve always had wonderful staff. Scott Hart, the co-owner, puts a lot of love into the place.

Great brunch and lovely service. Their French toast was the inspiration for my daughter’s christening celebration.

It's the first restaurant I went to when I first visited New York City so many years ago. I've been visiting regularly ever since. The owner Scott Hart has become a good friend. When my mom comes to visit for Mother's Day, we are greeted for brunch that Sunday by Scott with a hug, as if we are family visiting his home. The food is always so consistent & tasty — and the staff, always cheerful. Can't recommend this spot enough for a pre-theater meal or a fun weekend brunch.

They have the best macaroni and cheese in town. Full stop.

The menu at this place is to die for. You can’t have a bad meal there. The ambiance is beautiful, and I love the Broadway Show-themed drinks.

Scott & Bruce have been proprietors in our neighborhood as long as I've been here. They first opened 10th Avenue Lounge, then 44&X then 44 and 1/2. I love the vibe, the food, and feeling like home when I'm there.

The food is incredible. It’s Gay-owned. Everybody is welcome. And when the weather is nice, it’s great to sit outside.

I love this restaurant. Not only is the food consistently good (my favorite is the halibut), but the outside seating is lovely. And the wait staff, dressed in shirts that say "Heaven" on the front and "in Hell" on the back, are so nice and friendly. I think 44&X is one of the first places I went back to when restaurants re-opened during the pandemic.

44&X is one of my favorite spots for classic brunch fare. The brown and white striped awning and white box planters decorate the storefront creating a quaint and welcoming appearance. Once inside, I’m always excited to receive their basket of assorted mini muffins with jam and butter. They’re a nice treat before the main dishes arrive.
