Westerly Natural Market

I am into natural healthy foods — non-GMO EVERYTHING! I love coming to Westerly, it’s like a master class on organic healthy foods. During allergy season their sinus blaster has saved my life. Also their soups are surprisingly delicious.

The best grocery store in all of Hell’s Kitchen, the independently owned Westerly Natural Market, is a unicorn in many ways. Despite chain grocery store competition on every other block, the Westerly has thrived at the corner of 54th Street and 8th Avenue since 1966. That’s almost 60 years!

The high holy place for healthy people. I just go because I’m vain, consuming vitamins, fresh juices and organic beauty products.

I love their produce. Always fresh. I like to experiment with different kinds of cuisine from time to time and whenever I need a hard-to-find spice or grain, they always seem to have it in stock.

Simply put, I challenge anyone to find a place that offers a more delicious lentil soup!

They’re open late, and they have a huge variety of great, healthy stuff. And the staff is young and cute.

On the edge of Hell’s Kitchen, we should all feel very fortunate to have this gem of a grocer in our neighborhood. With healthy offerings of specialty items along with lots of good for you food staples, Westerly is great.
