Irma truly cares about her customers and always serves up the best food and cocktails. I can’t tell you the number of times I’ve sat down and mused aloud “which is the sauce I like…?” And she’ll lean over and remind me — she remembers. That’s a neighbor.

Tulcingo Del Valle is hands-down our favorite restaurant in Hell’s Kitchen. We have been going there for 20 years since a neighbor recommended their chicken mole. Authentic Mexican food at pretty reasonable prices and very friendly staff. Irma, the owner always greets us warmly and asks after our daughter Megan, who is now grown up and lives in Boston.

So authentic…but don’t order the sangria if you are a party of two: you’ll get drunk!

Best Mexican in all of NYC, no questions asked. Spicy chicken soup for cold days when you need to warm up, the freshest, just delicious, guacamole you have ever had and the frozen mango margaritas are out of this world. Irma and her family work so hard every day to keep hungry Hell’s Kitchenites happy 😊

It is the BEST Mexican restaurant in NYC. Eating at Tulcingo is like mom and dad cooking at home. It’s very old school and cool and you get great sized portions — you’ll get two meals out of your order!

Tulcingo Del Valle has such glorious, glorious food! It makes me so so happy and this is what I like about it! The only criticism I have is that I have a very hard time trying new dishes, as I keep ordering the same ones again and again and again. Chorizo burrito, baby! Can’t get enough!

Best authentic Mexican food in the hood! It's a family-run business. The service is fantastic, prices are reasonable and the food is divine! 

The owners, Irman and Jesus, are so sweet and they have lots of Mexican grocery items that I love to cook with. Their food is amazing and their cocktail game is on point! They use all fresh juices. They also make a fantastic cafe con leche.
