Fruit Stand 43

I go to Dave’s fruit stand especially when I need heavily speckled bananas — very soft to the touch and intensely sweet and fragrant — for baking my vegan oatmeal raisin cookies. I’ll be doing a lot of baking for the coming holidays.

It’s always fun shopping there as Dave is always friendly and very generous. I've known him since he first set up shop 11 years ago.

This is my favorite fruit stand in the city. Sammy is from Morocco. I feel a real connection, as my roots are in Tunisia, a country that has a shared history with Morocco. His produce is incredibly fresh and affordable.
