I have a few favorite Broadway theatres and the Barrymore is one of them (the Al Hirschfeld Theatre and Shubert Theatre are the others). The Barrymore is special to me for many reasons, including the fact that I worked on my first play there as a publicist, talked my way past the Secret Service in preparation for President and Mrs Obama's attendance at a performance of A Raisin in the Sun (another one of those wild New York stories), and will return this spring — making my Broadway debut as a co-producer for Othello starring Denzel Washington and Jake Gyllenhaal.
