The upstairs bar is the actual throbbing circulatory system of Broadway if you get there at 6pm. They say if you stand in Times Square long enough, you'll see everybody you've ever known — if you sit in Sardi's upstairs bar for about five minutes, you'll see everybody you need to know on Broadway! There is a collegial warmth in the room, and through the windows you can watch the crowds below queuing up for their Broadway shows.
